Welcome to Rx4JOY, Again

I’m annoyed with myself right now. I have every right to be, too. Eight years ago, I began this journey called Life Coaching. At the time, my classmates and I were advised to niche ourselves. “Look around you,” they said, “Your identity is already there.” And it was, right there on the back of my car. When I divorced my second husband, I bought a custom license plate to celebrate. RX4JOY it proudly proclaimed! I told people that divorcing him was my Prescription for Joy. I had to explain because …

Judging Money

I’m completely fascinated by the myriad reactions to the current PowerBall jackpot. Last week’s drawing was worth $900 million dollars when I last checked. There was a terrific buzz that it could go over a billion. With no winner, it did. As of the current moment, the jackpot for tonight’s drawing stands at $1.5 BILLION (source: www.flalottery.com). I wrote a grocery list, notes for my next coaching session, titles for about twenty blog posts I’d like to write, emails, replies to Facebook fans, and a few dozen other things. Of course, that is how resistance works when it leans toward …

Love and Roses

My unhappiness with Love originated with the belief that Love is Finite. My Joy with Love began when I understood these things: Love did not begin with me. I did not invent Love. I did not begin Love. I cannot end Love. I cannot make Love go away. Love is infinite. Love has no beginning or end. It did not suddenly “show up”, because Love has always been present. I cannot give it all away, because there is not end to Love.

When Eagles Fly

The symbolism of the Eagle is inspiring. That awesome creature who soars to the highest heights with such great vision is breathtaking. The eagle embodies strength, tenacity, solitary power, stamina and grace. But did you know that the eagle, the very icon of freedom and independence, positively will not fly until it is pushed from the nest? Fledgling eagles will stay in the nest, begging for food, as long as the adult eagles allow them to. Eagles only fly when pushed.
